Lauren espouses a relational and systemic approach to psychotherapy. Lauren was trained as a marriage and family therapist. Her curriculum focused on micro and macro systemic contexts and their impact on intra-personal and interpersonal relationships. A systemic approach accounts for the intricately interrelated entities, some greater than one’s own reach and immediate control, that have a significant impact on one’s functioning. Working relationally, Lauren seeks to explore with clients how cognitive and behavioral patterns influenced by greater systemic and cultural forces, can negatively affect one's ability to engage in healthy, and mutually satisfying relationships. It is the hope, that the work of therapy can provide a stage or a catalyst for positive change.
